enSoul has found a home!!! We are moving into our very own studio at the beginning of April, we are super excited to have all our services under one roof (classes, massage/reiki) and to provide a wider range of services to our members and the greater community.

Our regular classes are running as per usual and there won't be any interruptions to our timetable, however when the new Studio opens we will be doubling our timetable, adding more Pilates, Yin Yoga and Barre classes.

Watch this space for more information, the new location of enSoul's studio is down Paraparaumu Beach, address and opening date to be announced shortly.

Enjoy your day by getting what you want out of it, intention at Christmas is everything. Take time, just think about what Christmas means to you and what is most important to those around you. Don’t try and do everything or make everything perfect as it will just lead to pressure and disappointment. If you have thought out what is the most important bits of Christmas then you can concentrate on them and maybe get help with or miss out the other parts.

Remember to breathe, stay calm and present. Christmas is overwhelming even for people who love it. The organisation, the extra people, the food, the presents, the decorations - it’s stimulation and it can be exhausting. Taking a moment in the morning around this busy time, think of your breath, practice taking your inhale all the way down to the pit of your stomach, then swelling it all the way up to your collarbone, take a moment to hold in this lovely full satisfying breath, then exhale fully. When you exhale think of releasing all...

We all get busy and stressed. No one is exempt from stress..this may lead us to eat badly or feel a little off par! With summer rapidly approaching you might be looking for some extra energy? Hoping to feel your best for a relaxing summer season? Not sure why you are not feeling your best and would like to do something about it?

Have you thought of using Massage to detox your body or kick start your health? Here's how the massage will help your system.

The rhythmic strokes and pressure applied to muscles, tissues and organs during massage therapy help stimulate the circulatory system. It works sort of like a sponge: When pressure is applied to the tissue and fat, toxins are literally “squeezed” out from in between the muscle fibers and cells. They’re released into the circulatory system for easier elimination.

This is the reason some people actually feel a little worse after a massage than before! It is the body struggling with the detox effect. However after that initial process your wil...

So here at enSoul we believe in your holistic wellbeing. Mind.Body.Soul. So if you want to be a true Soulfie you have to check in with your spiritual self from time to time even if you have your physical being humming like a fine oiled machine. I have talked about Reiki and the physical benefits or the most common ones like stress reduction and the initiation of the bodies healing response. However this week I am going to delve deeper and shed some light on my hand placements and what they are doing for you <3

So over a few posts I will break down the points in your body, for optimal well being we want this points to be Open and have energy freely flowing. Sometimes I am working with people who have such closed points that the energy bounces back into my hands - this can sometimes be confused with strong energy flowing as it feels strong for the reiki provider however it's the exact opposite.

This morning I am going to focus on the PIneal Gland point which is at the crown of the...

The house work can wait the family would prefer a happier you than an immaculate house!

So yes it's true that it is hard to fit the time in when you have kids to do these little things. I have to wake up earlier to fit my meditation in but I am seeing so many benefits that it is well worth it. Today my meditation mind tried to wonder often but I got the odd glimpse of meditation in there and that was nice.

Last night I left my messy kitchen to itself and took a relaxing bath and it gave me the best sleep I have had in ages.

Once a week for 20 minutes, sit in a hot bath that contains a handful of Epsom salts, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, and a half cup of baking soda. This combo draws out toxins, lowers stress-related hormones, and balances your pH levels. ~ Dr. Mark Hyman, M.D.

Dr Mar Hyman has also said that by eating more fibre in your diet it soaks up any excess hormones your body produces. So with this in mind I am mindfully increasing the fibre in my diet. Now that I am focu...

I am feeling so much better!! But wait theres more.Today I continued and extended my meditation practice and it was really lovely. I was too relaxed today to move my Mala Bead through my hands so I just held them still. I had a lovely Meditation CD playing called Tibetan Chakra Meditations by Ben Scott and Christa Mitchell. The singing bowls were very calming and I didn't even really notice the music till I finished the meditation, I do think it helped to focus the mind however.

I am feeling amazing I think my body was struggling with dehydration and lack of quality breathe and the other benefits meditation brings to your life. However it doesn't mean I am going to stop there with my little life changes. I have a very sensitive lympatic system. I often have swelling in the areas where the lymph nodes live and this can even be painful at times. The lymphatic system has no pump but it does a very important job, it relies on us to move the fluid around the body.

Think of your lymphatic sy...

Today I rose a little earlier than normal to fit my meditation in. I am no meditation expert and find it so important as my little mind wonders often to near and far places. Because I am quite a novice I tend to like to use meditation props to help me stay focused and on track. What I mean by meditation props is the use of music, candles, incense, imagery or in my case today mala beads. In true meditation you would be so deep that you wouldn't need any props to calm you or focus you but I think I am a wee way off that.My Mala Meditation Beads (as pictured below) are used for my Reiki Healing they are Chrystal healing stones arranged to be healing for our chakras and it is really lovely to take turn holding a bead and breathing a few rounds of breath on each bead.My experience today was blissful, but it's not always the case.

Today because it was the first time in ages it was so lovely to relax the mind and body. Sometimes when I try to meditate I get irritated and bothered and I...

So it's been a busy start to the year and I have been loving how enSoul has been growing and I also feel very blessed with being able to work in areas that I adore. BUT I fear I have not been a good example or taking the message I like to share with so many others to heart. Lately I have become lazy, I am not breathing through situations, I am not eating nourishing food, I am not finding time for myself and my own meditation practise which means I am not letting go of so many things in my life I can't control - which causes suffering. The end result for me is now I am unwell. I don't feel centred, I have no extra energy, I can't concentrate properly nor can I switch off completely.

I have symptoms of my lupus in my life, sore joints, sluggish organs, lesions, chronic fatigue, sun sensitivity - I am a bit grumpy. My skin is playing up and my hair is thinning. Wow it's hard to be honest but I tried to cut corners and put myself on some medication when I knew all along I know the answers...
